Which one is right for you?
MANUAL CLEANING CENTRIFUGES
Manual centrifuges, like the CF50 or CF80 Microseparator®, offer a cost-effective solution for industrial liquid-solid separation. These units require periodic manual cleaning of the rotor—making them ideal for operations where:
- Lower upfront cost is a priority
- Short duty cycles or batch-based processes are the norm
- Staff are available to perform scheduled maintenance
- Continuous, unattended operation is not required
Manual cleaning means stopping the unit, opening the hinged cover, and physically removing accumulated solids from the reusable liner; no tools required. If your process demands high runtime or around-the-clock operation, this can become labor intensive and may introduce downtime.
AUTOMATIC CLEANING CENTRIFUGE
Automatic self-cleaning centrifuges like the CF100 or CF150 Microseparator®, are designed for continuous operation with minimal operator involvement, making them ideal for high-demand environments. These systems include advanced features such as automated solids ejection and integrated control panels, reducing both labor and downtime. Selecting a self-cleaning Microseparator® is recommended when:
- Bulk solids volumes are high, or fluid turnover rates are demanding
- Available labor is limited, or manual cleaning is not practical
- Direct contact with process solids or liquids should be minimized due to health, safety, or contamination risks
- Reliable, unattended operation is a requirement for your process
Microseparator® self-cleaning centrifuges have a strong track record of rugged and reliable performance—even under extreme conditions. They effectively separate highly abrasive materials such as glass, carbide, ceramics, composites, and aluminum from various process liquids without degradation in performance or system wear.
While automatic models come with higher initial investment, they provide long-term gains through reduced labor, higher efficiency, and scalability.
